How to Become a Legally Ordained Minister in Massachusetts:
With the American Fellowship Church the process of becoming an ordained minister / wedding officiant in Massachusetts is fairly simple, just read below and follow the instructions.
Duly ordained ministers of the gospel who are residents of Massachusetts, and who are in good and regular standing with their church, may solemnize marriages. Nonresident ministers may perform a specific marriage upon authorization by the Secretary of State.
Before performing a marriage in Massachusetts, “Churches and other religious organizations shall file in the office of the state secretary information relating to persons recognized or licensed as aforesaid, and relating to usages of such organizations, in such form and at such times as the secretary may require.” Contact the Secretary of State for more information and forward any requirements to us at the AFC with your request for our compliance. Please allow us at least two weeks in advance of your application to prepare any information you may need from us. To help us respond quickly, you may email your request to us...
